JAMES TRAFFORD…7.5.

After all the drama of Wednesday night this was a different type of test. Came up with some big saves and passed with flying colours.

EOIN TOAL…6.

Tried to get forward and link up with Bradley but found himself pinned in for the most part and restricted to defending his penalty box. Little wobbly on the ball but solid enough.

RICARDO SANTOS…6.

After giving up possession for the Port Vale goal he reset himself well to see the game out. Harrison was a handful all afternoon.

LUKE MBETE…5.5.

Hooked at half time for the more experienced Jones. Had been struggling to that point.

CONOR BRADLEY…7.

Bolton’s own Energiser Bunny just never stops. One of only a few Bolton players who still had a bit of zip about them in the second half.

AARON MORLEY…6.

Never really got the time and space to show his best stuff on the ball and perhaps suffering from the after effects of Accrington.

JOSH SHEEHAN…6.5.

Starting in the league for the first time since December, the Welsh midfielder took his goal really well but got lost a little in a hectic midfield.

RANDELL WILLIAMS…6.5.

Put Adeboyejo’s goal on a plate and worked hard up and down the left. It didn’t all come off but a solid return to the starting line-up.

KYLE DEMPSEY…8.

Suits this type of frantic fixture. This was a big ask considering he has only just returned from injury but he rolled up his sleeves and fought all afternoon.

SHOLA SHORETIRE…5.5.

Never got into the game. And, in fairness, this wasn’t his type of occasion. Chalk this one up to experience.

VIC ADEBOYEJO… 7.

Got his first Bolton goal and worked hard to offer some sort of platform up front. Hopefully the sign of things to come.

Subs: Charles 6, 45 (for Shoretire) – Shame he didn’t get a little more rest but helped see the result out.

Jones 6, 45 (for Mbete) – Might have been booked in his first few moments on the pitch but eventually saw things out soundly.

Nlundulu 6, 63 (for Adeboyejo) – Put the graft in when he came on. Good to see him back.

Lee 6, 69 (for Sheehan) – Not able to put much of a stamp on the game – but made sure his side saw things out.
