Det ble ikke slik klubben eller supporterne hadde håpet da Bolton dro for å møte Charlton søndag ettermiddag.
Hjemmelaget Charlton vant 2-0 i en kamp der feil fra Boltons spillere ble avgjørende.
– We’ve gifted them two goals and I’ll take responsibility for that. Two mistakes have cost us two goals but that’s the way I coached them to play, sa Bolton trener, Ian Evatt, til bwfc.co.uk etter kampen.
Evatt sier videre at de skal prøve å bygge opp angrep ved å starte bakfra for å åpne opp rom. Men han ser at dette ikke alltid fungerer. Særlig når noen gjør feil.
– At times we did that today but they’ve had two opportunities and scored two, sa Evatt.
All is not lost. Teams have been promoted by losing early in the season before.

Han mener at laget vil «sette» seg etter hvert.
– I think there’s still a lot of growth in this team and this squad I think relationships are still building, especially with the forward players in where we like to run, who likes to run where who wants to receive it where. Those type of things will get better.
