Kan ikke bli play-off

Etter mandagens 4-2 tap borte mot Lincoln kan ikke Bolton Wanderers komme seg opp på play-off plass.

Det er lite som går Boltons vei for tiden. Trener Steven Schumacher vil at laget skal prøve å finne litt positivitet for å avslutte sesongen mens han legger ut på en gjenoppbyggingsplan på Toughsheet Community Stadium.

– I just think we’ve just got to try and get a performance right and put a whole performance in. We’re going to Peterborough at the weekend and on their day they’re really good going forward, so we’re going to have to find a way around to defend better, sa Steven Schumacher til bwfc.co.uk etter 4-2 tapet mot Lincoln City.

Det startet med at hjemmelaget Lincoln satte inn det første målet etter 10 minutter. Før de så gikk opp til 2-0 i det 18. minutt. Bolton kom tilbake og satte 2-1 i det 29. og 2-2 i det 38. minutt. Men i andre omgang var det bare hjemmelaget som fikk mål. De to siste kom etter 53 og 61 minutter.

Treneren er klar på veien videre.

– There’s loads of work to do and we can get cracking pretty much straight away now because it’s obviously clear what the picture looks like. We’ll be speaking next week, as was planned, and try and figure it out It’s going to be a challenge. We haven’t got loads of players out of contact, so we need to make sure that we’re wise in the decisions that we make and really focus on the key areas that we need; some characters and some more quality in the areas where we’re short.
