Nytt tap for Bolton

For tredje kamp på rad har Bolton tapt. Muligheten for play-off er nesten helt borte. Video i saken.

Etter fredagskampene ligger Bolton Wanderers på 8. plass på tabellen. Det er bare 3 poeng bak Leyton på den viktige 6. plassen. Men på grunn av Boltons forferdelig svake målforskjell, er de i realiteten 4 poeng unna 6. plassen. Det er kun tre kamper igjen å spille.

På langfredag ble det altså enda et tap da Wycombe slo Bolton 2-0 på Toughsheet Community Stadium. Wycombe ligger ann til å ta 2. plassen og direkte opprykk.

– I said that they (Wycombe) don’t make any mistakes, they defend their goal well and they’ve got firepower at the top end of the pitch and somehow they find a way to win. Everything at the moment that our team can’t do and that’s why they look like they might go up automatically and we’re going to fall short, sa Boltons trener, Steven Schumacher, til bwfc.co.uk etter kampen.

Bolton sliter også med skader på spillere. Noe treneren mener har en del å si om lagets prestasjoner.

– It has been hard to try and pick a team and we’ve lost some big players but I said to the lads through the week, with adversity it becomes an opportunity for somebody else and step up and take your chance now. A lot of the performance was what we expected. We have all the ball, they don’t move out of their slots, they make it very frustrating and we have to try and find some quality, which again we didn’t manage to do because there isn’t loads out there.

Det kan virke som om troen om play-off og opprykk har forsvunnet fra Schumacher.

– I’m not looking at the table and saying: ‘come on, we’re still in with chance’, because we’ve lost six out of eight now. That’s not promotion-winning form and even if you get there there’s going to be so many better teams above us who are stronger at the moment, sier han.
