Pakistansk landslagsspiller til damelaget

Bolton Wanderers Women har signert prøvespilleren som scorte to mål i siste pre-season kamp.

Undertegnede skrev i saken «Avsluttet pre-season med seier» at det ville nok komme en signering av den ikke navngitte spilleren som satte inn to mål mot Salford City Lionesses.

Og slik ble det.

Den ikke navngitte spilleren er midtbanespilleren Sanah Mehdi.

Sanah startet karrieren sin på ungdomslagene i Burnley, før hun flyttet til seniorfotball for Accrington Stanley. Sanah flyttet deretter til Chorley for neste fase av karrieren sin, før hun spilte for Curzon Ashton i divisjon fem forrige sesong.

I tillegg til dette debuterte Sanah internasjonalt for Pakistan i 2024 da hun møtte India i det sørasiatiske fotballforbundets mesterskap.

– I’m feeling really good and excited about joining. Having spoken about the ambitions of the club, and the values they hold, I’m really happy to be a part of it. Having been in on trial, I already know that it’s a great group of girls, and a good coaching team, so I’m looking forward to officially getting started now, sier hun til bwfc.co.uk.

Myles Smith, damenes trener, sier dette om Sanah Mehdi:

– Sanah has been brilliant since she walked through the door on trial and we are delighted to officially welcome her to the club. She is an attack-minded player, who loves to get on the ball, and someone who can offer us fierce competition at the top end of the field.
