Riktig å bytte målvakt

Mange lurte på hvorfor Tyler Miller var Boltons målvakt torsdag. Treneren hadde en grunn for det.

Normalt er det den unge lånespilleren fra Chelsea, Teddy Sharman-Lowe, som vokter buret når Bolton Wanderers spiller. 

Men i bortekampen mot Doncaster fikk Tyler Miller sin første ligakamp fra start.

-It is always a big call when you leave someone out who has played half a season, non-stop. I just felt that it was the right call. I’ve had a couple of thoughts lately, there have been a couple of too many errors in there from Ted, and he’ll probably get better from this, forteller Boltons trener Steven Schumacher til The Bolton news.

Treneren mener Miller gjorde en god kamp.

– It might be the best thing for him in the long run. When I signed Tyler (Miller) and he said to me: ‘Am I going to get an opportunity to play?’ I said: Well, if I think the situation requires that, then I’ll have no doubt in putting you in.’ I don’t have any doubt because I think he’s capable. The opportunity was there, and I think he played really well today. He made a couple of big, important saves.
