Spillervurderinger Bolton – Burton

The Bolton News har vurdert spillerne etter kampen lørdag 19. oktober.
Vurderingene etter 2-1 hjemme mot Shrewsbury er gjort av Chief Football Writer i The Bolton News, Marc Iles.
LUKE SOUTHWOOD…6.
One important save with his feet from Bennett in the first half, otherwise a really quiet afternoon for the Northern Ireland international.
JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…6.
Switched to centre-half after the loss of Toal and had been doing pretty well, picking out some decent passes. The goal was sloppy but he did come up with another key clearance at the end.
RICARDO SANTOS…6.5.
Did absolutely everything right with the exception of 30 seconds of indecision around the goal. Will face a much tougher night at Birmingham.
GEORGE JOHNSTON…6.
Started the game really well, getting his team straight on the front foot with some positive running and a passing. Like the game, it all slowed down after that.
RANDELL WILLIAMS…6.5.
Provided an assist and a goal in a position we haven’t seen him in for some time, which is a big plus. Decision making could have been better at times.
JOSH SHEEHAN…6.
After his international master class for Wales, back to the league grind. As ever, he was neat and tidy on the ball but never really felt like he was driving the game.
KYLE DEMPSEY…7.
Provided the pass of the day for Williams’ goal and provided the necessary hustle and bustle in Thomason’s absence. Worked hard, had chances.
SZABI SCHON…6.
Some good moments early on, where he looked Bolton’s best bet for a goal. Burton’s soft goal was a real mess, though, and he could have taken charge.
AARON COLLINS…6.
Scored his first league goal of the season, which is a step forward, but missed plenty more chances. Just looks a touch out of confidence at the moment.
JOHN MCATEE…6.
Dropped deeper and tried to link midfield and attack with mixed success. Doing a lot of running for the team but not necessarily getting the rewards.
DION CHARLES…6.
Quiet afternoon for him, a few bits of link-up play in the first half, not a lot more. Hopefully keeping the powder dry for Tuesday night.
Subs: Adeboyejo 5, 65 (for Charles) – Didn’t really make an impression.
Matete 5, 70 (for Dempsey) – Bolton had stalled by that point.
Arfield 5, 70 (for McAtee) – Very little to write home about.
