Spillervurderinger Bolton – Cambridge

The Bolton News har vurdert spillerne etter kampen lørdag 18. januar.
Vurderingene etter 2-2 hjemme mot Cambridge er gjort av Chief Football Writer i The Bolton News, Marc Iles.
LUKE SOUTHWOOD…5.
Flapped a bit at Kachunga’s header in the lead-up to Cambridge’s first goal and spent most of the game playing sweeper.
GETHIN JONES…4.5.
Lost the run of Stokes for Cambridge’s second goal and didn’t look especially comfortable on the ball all day.
RICARDO SANTOS…3.5.
If injured, then it was a big risk to start him, and one that didn’t pay off. Immediately clear that he was not running on a full tank.
GEORGE JOHNSTON…5.5.
Tidier in possession than most and though he skied a decent chance in the first half he was the pick of the bunch at the back.
JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…4.
Slow to react in the penalty box on a couple of occasions and though he found some space in the first half, he didn’t do enough with the ball.
AARON MORLEY…5.
More influential once they had gone to a narrow midfield in the second half. Set pieces weren’t quite up to scratch.
JOEL RANDALL…5.
Showed a couple of clever touches around the penalty area and involved in the first equaliser but faded a bit second half.
GEORGE THOMASON…5.
Kept going, and produced the cross that eventually found its way into the net. Quality wasn’t always there but the effort was appreciated.
SZABI SCHON…6.
Got into some good positions and with some better finishing might have made this a much more comfortable afternoon for Bolton.
AARON COLLINS…5.
Put a couple of decent efforts on target and got himself involved – but so much of it was outside the penalty box where Cambridge were comfortable.
JOHN MCATEE…5.
Lost Kachunga at the set piece for the opening goal but did finish a good move for the equaliser. Like Collins, did most of his work outside the box.
Subs: Forrester 6, 46 (for Santos) – Solid second half.
Osei-Tutu 6, 59 (for Dacres-Cogley) – Looked lively on the right.
Adeboyejo 4, 70 (for McAtee) – Struggled to get into the game at all.
Lolos 5, 70 (for Randall) – One quality moment nearly paid off.
Sheehan 75 (for Jones) – Great to see him back.
