Spillervurderinger Bolton – Lincoln

player-rating

The Bolton News har vurdert spillerne etter kampen søndag 29. desember.

Vurderingene etter 3-0 seieren hjemme mot Lincoln er gjort av Chief Football Writer i The Bolton News, Marc Iles.

NATHAN BAXTER…6.5.

Not an especially busy afternoon despite getting bashed in the second half, leaving him with a broken nose. Hopefully an injury which sorts itself out quickly.

EOIN TOAL…6.5.

Great to see him back in the side, even if he had to be withdrawn on the hour. Steady re-introduction and he didn’t look out of touch.

RICARDO SANTOS…7.

Wanderers may be struggling to consistency, Santos is not. There may be some frustration about how much of the ball he sees but his defensive work has been excellent.

GEORGE JOHNSTON…6.5.

Back in the side and had the bit between his teeth, getting forward and helping Schon out on the left. Will have tougher days at the office, though.

JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…6.

Popped up in some really good areas early on and had a steady game. Can’t recall Hackett giving him too many problems.

JAY MATETE…8.

The unlikely goalscoring hero, and a lick of paint away from scoring a hat-trick. Hugely influential in this type of mood. So good, we named him once.

KLAIDI LOLOS…6.5.

Involved in both goals despite not seeing a massive amount of the ball. Certainly does his best work around the penalty box.

GEORGE THOMASON…6.

Got around the pitch in his usual no-nonsense fashion but for the last couple of games his distribution has been a bit haphazard.

SZABI SCHON…6.

Like Dacres-Cogley, had a few moments, but not quite as involved as he usually has been for Bolton and was swapped for Williams midway through the second half.

JOHN MCATEE…6.5.

Better, even if he is not quite having the impact on games that we expected at this point. He does seem happier playing further forward with Collins.

AARON COLLINS…7.

Hasn’t let his head go down after the miss against Barnsley, so should be applauded for even trying his luck from 30 yards for the opener.

Subs: Forrester 6, 61 (for Toal) – Maybe unlucky to be out of the side?

Osei-Tutu 72 (for Dacres-Cogley), Williams 72 (for Schon), Charles 72 (for McAtee), Mendes Gomes 79 (for Lolos).
