Spillervurderinger Bolton – Peterborough

The Bolton News har vurdert spillerne etter 1-1 hjemme mot Peterborough lørdag 23. september.

Vurderingene er gjort av Chief Football Writer i The Bolton News, Marc Iles.

NATHAN BAXTER…7.5.

Made saves in the second half that he would have expected to make – but ensured there would be no follow up. His cross claiming was also extremely competent.

GETHIN JONES…4.5.

Hadn’t been a great day even before the red card. Going through the mill at the moment.

WILL FORRESTER…7.5.

Came in with some big boots to fill and though Clarke-Harris got on the scoresheet, he defended his penalty box heroically for the most part.

JACK IREDALE…6.5.

When the game was open he struggled against some of Peterborough’s pace on the counter but when asked to defend, he came through impressively.

JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…6.5.

Wanderers’ best attacking option for the most part. Dropped back to play as an orthodox full-back during the second half.

JOSH SHEEHAN…6.5.

One of a few players whose possession stats remained respectable, the Welshman covered a lot of ground once the team went down to 10 men.

GEORGE THOMASON…5.

Not a day he will remember fondly. Uncharacteristically, gave the ball away in some bad areas, including in the build-up to the goal. Booking means he misses Port Vale too.

RANDELL WILLIAMS…6.5.

Bolton’s most effective player for the first hour, or so, and saw more of the ball than anyone else. Looked tired towards the end.

KYLE DEMPSEY…6.

Put himself about and was playing as a secondary full-back for the majority of the second half, all nuance and craft had to be abandoned in a scrappy second half.

DION CHARLES…6.

Patched himself up to play, which is credit in itself. Wasn’t quite at his waspish best but another one who sacrificed himself for the cause after the break.

VICTOR ADEBOYEJO…6.5.

After last week’s horror show in the penalty box he was in the right place at the right time to bag his fifth goal of the season. Ran his socks off.

Subs: Nlundulu 7, 64 (for Adeboyejo) – Added energy and purpose.

Bodvarsson 7, 73 (for Charles) – Really had the bit between his teeth.

Morley 90+2 (for Sheehan).
