Spillervurderinger Bolton Wanderers 1-1 Portsmouth

player-rating

The Bolton News har vurdert spillerne etter 1-1 hjemme mot Portsmouth lørdag 13. april.

Vurderingene er gjort av Chief Football Writer i The Bolton News, Marc Iles.

NATHAN BAXTER…6.5.

Handling was good, tried to keep the tempo up and played one excellent ball up for Charles in the second half. Could do little about the goal.

GETHIN JONES…7.

Solid return to the team, keeping Paddy Lane very quiet indeed. His presence does seem to give more licence to Dacres-Cogley to push on and threaten the opposition box.

RICARDO SANTOS…9.

Doesn’t do social media anymore – but was made aware of some of the daft quotes which had been doing the rounds. Dominant was the best way to describe the captain’s performance.

EOIN TOAL…6.5.

Had his hands full with Kamara drifting on to his side and should have closed him down quicker for the goal. Very strong after that, though, and loved the guidance he gave to Callum Lang.

JOSH SHEEHAN…5.5.

A rare mis-step for the Welshman this season with an early error seeming to put him off his stride. Set pieces were not as sharp as usual. He will bounce back quickly.

JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…6.5.

Never stopped pushing forward and got himself behind Oglive a few times at which point the quality of his final ball was 50-50. Put one on a plate for Bodvarsson, though.

GEORGE THOMASON…7.

Supplied the pre-match battle cry and got himself around the pitch well. His work-rate out of possession was really impressive and helped Wanderers keep the pressure on.

PARIS MAGHOMA…7.

Had a real purple patch in the last half-hour of the first half which left Pompey struggling for answers. Half-time sub Anjorin helped subdue him a bit after the break.

NAT OGBETA…6.5.

Left gaps defensively in the first half but going the other way, he looked Bolton’s best bet. Created the goal for Collins and supplied a few more dangerous crosses.

JON DADI BODVARSSON…6.5.

Won’t need telling that the chance in the second half should have been buried. His link play to that point was strong and he looked in confident mood.

AARON COLLINS…7.

Took one of the toughest chances of the game to keep his excellent recent scoring record up. His habit of dropping deeper does occasionally cause issues.

Subs: Morley 76 (for Sheehan), Dempsey 76 (for Maghoma), Jerome 80 (for Bodvarsson), Charles 80 (for Collins), Williams 90+2 (for Ogbeta).
