Spillervurderinger Charlton – Bolton
The Bolton News har vurdert spillerne etter 2-0 seieren borte mot Charlton lørdag 28. oktober.
Vurderingene er gjort av Chief Football Writer i The Bolton News, Marc Iles.
NATHAN BAXTER…8.
Didn’t need to make any showy saves but there was so much more to admire, particularly the strong arm he got on Campbell’s cross in the second half at a crucial moment in the game.
GETHIN JONES…8.5.
Now that’s what I call an answer to your critics. Used the ball well, defended his penalty box like a champion. MOM.
RICARDO SANTOS…8.5.
Catches the eye sometimes for his pace and power, even sometimes for being the biggest fella on the pitch – but folk miss that he is a very, very good defender. And this was pure defending.
EOIN TOAL…7.5.
Has looked a million bucks since coming back from international duty. Strode out with purpose on the ball, worked hard to protect the clean sheet too.
JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…7.5.
Really pinned Charlton back in the first half, causing all sorts of issues for Thomas. Had more defensive duties after the break but stuck to the task.
JOSH SHEEHAN…8.
Didn’t take a backward step against a physical midfield and, playing a deeper role, did as much as anyone to keep Bolton pushing forward.
AARON MORLEY…7.5.
This was a big game for Morley, who needed to prove his first team credentials again, and he passed the test. Great use of the ball, as ever, and worked hard off it, too.
GEORGE THOMASON…7.5.
Looked spent by the time he was replaced by Maghoma – but had put in another massive shift for the team. Should have scored in the first half, if we’re nit-picking.
RANDELL WILLIAMS…8.
Another goal, another acrobatic celebration, and it could have been a hat-trick. Got himself into some great positions and looked all the better coming into the game fresh.
DION CHARLES…7.5.
Just keeps adding the numbers, reaching double figures a good six weeks earlier than he did last season. Might have had more – but always a threat.
VICTOR ADEBOYEJO…7.5.
Another one who won’t get the headlines but deserves credit for getting through a huge workload on the day. Some really unselfish work on the ball.
Subs: Bodvarsson 71 (for Adeboyejo) – Held he ball really well in the latter stages.
Maghoma 75 (for Thomason) – Charlton struggled to cope when he got on the ball.
Nlundulu 78 (for Charles) – Bright cameo. Worked hard around the penalty box.
