Spillervurderinger Crawley – Bolton
The Bolton News har vurdert spillerne etter kampen lørdag 28. september.
Vurderingene etter 2-0 seieren borte mot Crawley er gjort av Chief Football Writer i The Bolton News, Marc Iles.
NATHAN BAXTER…6.
Nothing that really stretched him shot-wise. Adopted a safety-first approach to clearing the ball and to punching rather than trying to catch when Crawley went direct.
EOIN TOAL…8.
His best game for some time. Very strong in the air, reliable on the ground, and even popped up as a right winger at one stage. Looked to enjoy the win.
RICARDO SANTOS…7.
Much more like it from the big man, who put in a few thunderous challenges when the ball dropped right for him. Went close to scoring with a header too.
GEORGE JOHNSTON…7.
Other than a flicker of worry when he clashed knees with Williams on halfway, it was another strong show from Wanderers’ Lion.
JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…7.
Given he got 90 minutes against Raheem Sterling on Wednesday night, he had no right to work as hard as this at Crawley. Credit where credit is due.
JOSH SHEEHAN…6.5.
Found Dempsey with a superb corner early on and had to pick his moments to engage in midfield as Evatt’s tactical instructions gave him something different to think about.
GEORGE THOMASON…6.5.
Solid from the captain, who is quite suited to this sort of scrap. Like Sheehan, he didn’t look like he was dominating midfield… but then that wasn’t the plan.
KYLE DEMPSEY…7.
His hard running early on set exactly the right tone and his fourth-minute goal settled Bolton down immediately.
SZABI SCHON…6.5.
Seems to be making a bit of progress, defensively, and while the late histrionics are not really necessary and he should have scored, there was also a lot to like. His persistence helped make the second goal.
DION CHARLES…6.5.
Really seemed to fancy himself to beat Crawley’s defenders for pace but unfortunately his best two chances fell to his left foot.
VICTOR ADEBOYEJO…6.
Worked hard but struggled to link up with Charles quite as effectively as he has done of late. Went close with one effort early on, saved by the keeper.
Subs: McAtee 7,69 (for Charles) – Another step forward. And a thunderous finish.
Collins 6.5, 69 (for Adeboyejo) – Provider for McAtee, this time, but partnership is working well.
Matete 77 (for Dempsey), Arfield 83 (for Thomason).
