Søndag var det EFL Award i London. Der gjorde Bolton Wanderers FC seg bemerket.
Boltons kaptein Ricardo Almeida Santos ble tatt ut til Sky Bet League One Team of the Season og klubben ble Fan Engagement Award winner.
Santos ble anerkjent etter nok en enestående sesong og den som leder Wanderers inn i sluttspillkampen. I tillegg fikk han løftet Papa Johns Trophy på Wembley etter 4-0 finaleseier over Plymouth Argyle.
-It’s wonderful for him to be in that. He thoroughly deserves it. Everyone knows what I think about Rico. He’s a huge player for us and a wonderful captain, sa trener Ian Evatt om anerkjennelsen til Ricardo Almeida Santos.
Fan Engagement Award er en ny pris for 2022/23 og tar elementer fra den forrige EFL Family Club Award for å gi anerkjennelse til en klubb som kan demonstrere hvordan den spesifikt involverer og har kontakt med sine supportere.
