Onsdag 20. august er det kamp mot Reading og lørdag 23. er det mot Lincoln City.

– It is difficult when you play on a Wednesday night because you don’t get a day off, there is no space where you can go home and take your mind off things. You are constantly on the go and preparing for the next game so it is mentally straining on the players and on the coaching staff, sier trener Steven Schumacher.

Schumacher har på forhånd advart om at midtukekampen også vil bety mange endringer i helgen, ettersom han prøver å holde ting så friskt som mulig.

– But that is why I am saying we will need the whole squad. I will make changes on Wednesday against Reading because we will have to freshen things up. And I will most likely do the same thing on Saturday as well. I don’t feel like there is much of a drop-off for people who are selected, so we will continue to pick a team we think can win and also one that’s as fresh as it possibly can be.

– It has been a tough start to the season for us too. You look at the teams we have played so far – Argyle, Stockport, Barnsley – all three are very good teams and I have been pleased generally with the performances, so we have to try and keep that going.
